I'm dreaming of a... Christmas home
I know most people don't understand. I LOVE Christmas time. I miss it already. The lights, the decor, the music, the giddiness of it all. Give me the retail shops who get Christmas stock in May, who set up trees in July, and who play Christmas tunes in September. I worked at Hobby Lobby for 3 years while in collage and I never grew tired of it.
Cory and I won't be seriously looking for a new home for another year, but we already know what we want. A 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. A big backyard for Chesney to play in. Little-to-no greenery. (We'd kill it off anyway.) And a large front yard for our Christmas decorations. I kid you not. I wouldn't be able to stand living in a neighborhood with a bunch of Scrooges either. We've even (halfway) joked about driving through potential subdivisions at Christmas time to see who is in the spirit and crossing off the list those neighborhoods who are not.
When picking out a new home, do you have any interesting or quirky things you look for?

You'd like my neighborhood. I have a neighbor who still has his lights up, and one of them put up her lights right after Halloween. I get into the spirt, but I'm pretty conservative about it. I like it for about 2 weeks, and then I'm done for a year. More than the decorations, I like a good party and sending holiday cards and hearing how my friends have been doing over the year.

For two girls that look so different and act so different, and claim to be so different, you're JUST ALIKE!

I guess our tastes change from time to time in our lives... I used to love to decorate the house and yard for christmas but stopped for many years (as I changed jobs and went back to school) but just recently told Diane that I look forward to the day that I complete school and have time to start the decoration projects again on the outside of the house (she always does the inside).. but I think I would prefer to wait for a new home to spend the time on... One day we will sell the 23 year renovation project and buy into a smaller home and then the power company will love me in december in january as I consume many kilowatts of power to show off the decorations...
