An old shoelace

MacGyver... I don't remember much about the show (I was 4 to 10 years old.) I only remember that I liked it a lot. Who wouldn't like to have the knowledge to know how to make a bomb out of a piece of gum, a wire, an old shoelace, and a cigarette right? And what about defusing a bomb?

Did you watch Armageddon? I was on the edge of my seat when Harry Stamper decided that Colonel Sharp needed to defuse the bomb, so that Harry's team could continue their plight to save the world. Listening to Rockhound say "Do a good job. Do a good job." made me more nervous. Ah... then the relief when Sharp choose the right wire to cut at the last second. I would love to be able to be the one to save the day.

It makes me think... If you had to choose between the red wire, the blue wire, and the yellow wire? Would you try to make an educated choice, or simply do "eeney, meeney, miney, moe"?

I would go off of my gut feeling and experience. Experience tells me that RED is usually the one you don't want to pick. YELLOW is a sign of weakness, so I'd go for the BLUE wire.

I would cut the one that is closest to me at the time. IF it was my time to go no matter which wire I cut that would be it anyway... you wouldnt find me in that situation ...

Yeah, I'm with my dad, I would not be found in that situation. (hopefully) Yellow is my favorite color and I'm not weak (G.U.T.) I guess I would just choose to let someone else cut the wire, because I usually don't do well on 50/50 chances (like T/F tests).

Okay - I am still reeling that you were only 4 when MacGyver was on... but lucky for me (and those in the life threatening situation) I was a former CIA operative and the very first day of training is Deactivation of Ticking Bombs. Cut the Yellow one first, then the red one.
