I'm back

So, felt this was as good a time as any to start writing again. Mainly for myself.

Found out on Friday night that we're expecting a baby!

We had some friends over to play games and drink wine. I was one day late, so I decided to take a pregnancy test (which I already had at home) to see whether or not I could drink wine... which I could not. I called Cory to the back to come see the test and he was in shock. We both knew it could happen soon, but I think it must always be a shock to see the two pink lines and know that there is new life beginning. Anyway, we couldn't say anything to our company... parents first... so we kept quiet and I passed on the wine.

On Saturday night, my mom & my dad came over. After dinner and a couple of games, I broke the news to them by asking Maddox, "Where's the baby?" He pointed to my belly and I confirmed the good news. My mom did not believe me because Dad and I had joked about me being pregnant last week. After looking at the test, she believed it, but was upset that we wait so long to tell them as they had already been there 2 1/2 hours.

Chesney still thought we were talking distant future and asked Cory, "Momma J's pregnant now?" He nodded and she whispered, "But her belly's not big." Thank you, Chesney!! Cory told her to give it some time...

After my parents left, we drove to Cory's godfather's house to meet the Hebert's and tell them. Chesney asked if she could tell them "the big news." Of course. "Guess what Jammy & Grandpa! I'm taking gymnastics next summer!" Of course.

She then told them "the other big news" and everyone was thrilled.

I believe I took the test on the day I would be 4 weeks 1 day along. So that would put me at 4 weeks and 4 days today and due on May 14th. I have my first doctor's visit on Wed Sept 24th in the morning (at 6w6d).

I'm a little nervous. A little tired. A little achy. No nausea yet. Whew!
