Little scare; Greater relief

Monday evening, I had a little scare. I passed some gray tissue and almost immediately my pregnancy symptoms ceased. No more frequent urination, no more breast soreness, but no bleeding. After initially freaking out, I called dad and decided I would call my OB on Tuesday. By Tuesday, I had talked myself out of it. This morning (Wednesday), I couldn't go anymore without worrying about my lack of symptoms.

I had an appointment this morning. After the exam, Dr. Zehnder said that it was tissue, but not a whole lot and he thought it all felt normal, but he ordered a scan (ultrasound) to check on a few more things. I saw that he had written "Threatened AB" on my paperwork. Threatened AB is threatened abortion or threatened miscarriage. I guess the scan was precautionary. Anyway, we saw a yolk sac, a tiny white thing which was the baby, and a primative heartbeat! Everything looks good! The doctor was relieved. I still have my "initial" appointment scheduled for next week to check on things.

He asked if I had any questions... which I did. I told him about my trips planned to OKC in May and WDW in October. He said OKC was prefectly alright. He said he prefers not to allow patients to leave the state six weeks before the due date (which is Nov 18), but mid-Sept would be fine, so I am very happy that I still get to go - AND I have a healthy embryo right now!

Angel baby I need to be closer so I can give you a hug. I just want you to know that I have been praying every morning at Mass that you and Kristy will have healthy pregnancies and healthy babies. That was just a scare. Everything will be okay. Do not panic and do not do the rides at WDW!! And thank God Dr. Zendher said OKC was okay to come to!!!
I love you! Granny

I'm glad all is well. You can ride that boring "It's a small world after all" ride too...the only thing is you might fall asleep or you'll want to scream. LOL

I wanted to crawl out of that canoe and head for the exit. "It's a small world" was etched into my brain for a week.

Never forget the slow rides, because they can be the best. You can still do many things such as Honey I shrunk the audience and the ride that travels trough all of the other rides (space mountain and others) in tomorrow land.

I would have been terrified if anything like that came out of me. I'm proud of you and how well you handled it!!

Thanks for everyone's concern about the rides at WDW, but the fact of the matter is, being pregnant will only eliminate 19 of the 86 rides/shows in Disney World. Chesney could not go on 14 of those anyway because of her height, so I don't think I'll be bored. Probably tired, but not bored.
