My Life in the Fast Lane: Always on the move, getting nothing done

As seen on G.U.T.'s blog, I would like to take a moment to focus on some teachers who made a difference in my life:
  • My mother - I'll start with her because I believe that it was her work (along with my parents' genes) that got me started before any formal schooling. Her choices, decisions, and teachings made me who I am.
  • 2nd grade - Mrs. Touchet - who unknowingly made me more competitive with her flash card games.
  • 3rd grade - Ms. Dugas - my "pull-out" gifted teacher who really opened my mind to so many things that most kids were not exposed to at that age (limericks, stalagtites, suger cube multiplication).
  • 4th/5th grade - Dr. Ehret - another gifted teacher who made me proud to try "weird" things like dissecting fetal pigs, performing open heart surgery on minnows, and eating calf brains.
  • 6th grade - Mrs. Jacques - History - for making learning about "boring" things so interesting and for the brilliant use of flash cards.
  • 7th grade - Mr. Craig - Science - for the bug collection project and wanting everyone to succeed.
  • 9th grade - Mrs. Gatz - Science - for teaching us the fight song and for showing us great school spirit.
  • 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th - Mrs. Caroline Ancelet - French - for being my second mother in Nova Scotia and welcoming me into her family.
  • 10th/11th - Mrs. McDonald - English - for English binders and reading logs and lots of encouragement.
  • 11th/12th - Mrs. Karen Aguillard - Math - for being a friend before a teacher during tough times.
  • 11th/12th - Mrs. Carole Lormand - History - for slides and movies; I wanted to learn more about Europe and all those "dead" people.
  • 11th/12th - Mr. Philip Ryland - Computer Science - for giving me direction for college and for making me feel like I was doing something great.
  • 12th grade - Mrs. Barbara Brown - English - for teaching me the proper way to write Thank You notes, write a bibliography, and write term papers (all of which I was so grateful for in college)
  • 12th grade - Mrs. Tina Cappel - Psychology - for making me so interested in going to class to learn.
  • College - Dr. Maples - BSAT - the toughest teacher I ever had. Exteremly high expectations, classes on Saturdays and at 7:00am. Someone you love to hate, but I learned so much from him.
  • College - Mr. Mike Totaro - BSAT - the nicest, most caring man I ever met. Very respectful of all his students and wants EVERYONE to do well in life. Recommended me for my current job.

Great list - I thought there might be some overlapping teachers, but it didn't happen. Latiolais was on my list, and his daughter is one of your close friends (I guess that's as close to overlapping we're going to get).

I was actually surprised to see Mr. Rick on your list. I didn't know you had him as a teacher.
