Pet Meme

As taken from Uncle Tee's blog...
My pet's meme:

My name is…Kelly (Kell, Kell Bell, Kelly Bell, Kelly Belly)

I come from…the dog shelter. My mom wanted a dog so badly. She and Chesney had to talk my dad into getting me and now he's really happy with her decision. (As always if he gives her a chance.)

I’ve been on Earth for…about 3 1/2 years.

I met my person when she... saw me cowering in a corner of a cold kennel by myself.

My favorite other pet is…ha! I have no other favorite pet. I am the queen over all animals. Even alpha dogs bow to me.

I’ve traveled…every day of my life in the car (even if it's only to my grandparent's house.) I love the car and understand the human language "Wanna go for a ride?"

At night, when my people are asleep, I…love to curl up at their feet in their bed covered by all of the covers. If they try to kick me out, I go to lie with Chesney.

Every morning, my person is so predictable; the first thing that she does is…hit the snooze, watch my dad get out of bed, and cuddle with me again. I get to stay with her until she decides to get up or until I smell my dad making breakfast.

My favorite food that isn’t sitting in my dog dish would be…rice and lately, strawberries.

I love it when my person…let's me ride in the car. I sit up front with my dad and get to put my nose on the window or hang my head outside. I perch myself in the backseat with my paws on the arm rest when I ride with my mom.

My favorite toy is…Ginger, my aunt. She's the only one who remembers to be submissive to me.

One thing that makes my person laugh is when I… give puppy dog eyes after being told to get off of the bed. I mean, come on... I can't get on the living room furniture anymore and they threw away the rug. Where do they expect me to lie down?!

My Beautiful "Orange" Baby

Cory and I decided on Friday to try out the 3D Ultrasound. We drove to Baton Rouge on Saturday with Kim and Mom and got some really good pictures and a DVD. We decided he has a lot of Jeff's features, Cory's mouth and lips and very chubby cheeks. I hope he'll be less than 8 pounds!

Taken for Granted

As I enter my last month of pregnancy, I realize more and more that I take many things for granted. Mostly, my hygiene.

I really never thought that shaving legs and clipping toe nails would be huge difficulties in my pregnancy. I knew that sleep would be difficult and aches and cramps would be common. I braced myself for soreness and stretch marks. But who knew I would have to rely on my husband for shaving, clippings, and tying my shoes? Crocs have been my best friend, but now that the temp is dropping, I don't know if I can go without socks too much longer.

I no longer care too much about personal appearance. My hair goes into a wet ponytail every day. I wear teal Crocs with every outfit. I don't wash my face. I don't put on makeup. At least I used to wear mascara and lip gloss! My clothes don't match consistantly either.

I guess pregnancy takes it out of you. It's not until I saw Kristy post-baby and dressed up for an engagement dinner that I realized how crappy I look. Her hair was cut, colored, and straight. Her makeup looked awesome. And she wore the cutest sweater and button up shirt. I forgot what layering for looks was like. She looked great! It really made me want to have the energy to make myself look nice. I forgot that I stopped trying.

Anyway, poor Cory has to take over where I cannot. Not only cleaning the house, but keeping me trim as well. I won't take shaving my legs for granted for a while after I am able to again.

How Young Is Your Dog?

I found this site and thought I'd share it with those of you who have fur babies. Take the DogAge Test today to find out your dog's biological age -- based on your dog's health, breed, risk of disease, and behavior -- measured in people years!

http://www.dogage.com/index.aspx?cbr=RA24_RA

Kelly is 3 years and 3 months old. (23 people years old.)
According to the test, Kelly is 13.7 years old and almost 5 years younger than a normal dog her breed.

Yea! We're doing something right! If only my True Age was less than my Real Age! Ha!

Mixed Feelings

Have you ever felt worse and better at the same time?

That's kind of how I'm feeling. I feel myself being dragged down by tiredness more and more every day. (I even came into work today an hour later to try and make up some rest.) I feel drained most of the time and especially after walking around for a while.

But... I also feel emotionally better. I am getting things done (with family's help) and feel like I am constantly on the go with Cory working such late nights. I've taken on teaching CCD class by myself, I pick up Chesney from school, and bring her to dancing. Kinda of like a single (part-time) parent. It also feels nice to have everything ready for the baby and I've been able to concentrate on other areas of the house as well. The de-cluttering of the living room gives me a sense of peace. Now, if only I could get my entire house feeling that way! I must do it soon though if I want the cleaning ladies to come. I hate the idea of cleaning before someone cleans, but I feel it's a neccesary evil!

Baby is doing fine and I go for my next appointment in a week. Pray for me that I have more will power to stay away from all the junk food. My doctor recommends that I stay at this current weight for the remaining 7 weeks!
